Required Education

High School Diploma/GED and one of the following options:
Option 1: Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist educational program
Option 2: Completion of an approved Surgical Technology training program through one of the following:
• U.S. Military Training Program (U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard)

Exposure to blood, body fluids or tissue. Possible exposure to infectious materials, communicable diseases and/or other conditions common to a healthcare environment.

Intermittent exposure to risk of exposure to blood-borne pathogens. Moderate to high noise level in work area. Requires work under stressful conditions, deadlines, or irregular hours. May be required to take call and/or work weekends/holidays based on the needs of the department.
