Responsibilities: plan treatment techniques that deliver the prescribed radiation dose; obtain or supervise patient contours, localization files, CT scans, and port films; coordinate simulations with tumor localization procedures; enter dose calculations in the radiation therapy chart; and supervise therapists in carrying out treatment plans. Requirements: high school diploma or equivalent; credentialed as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist; and 5 years of dosimetry experience (three years of dosimetry experience under the supervision of a dosimetrist, medical physicist, or radiation oncologist, or equivalency, is also listed). Pay stated by the client: $69.00–$79.35 per hour depending on education and experience, with a yearly range of $143,520–$200,000.
